Bespoke Jacketed Pipework for Hygienic Chocolate Production
Able Engineering designed, manufactured and installed a bespoke jacketed pipework system for a major UK chocolate manufacturer, engineered specifically to meet the demands of a hygienic food production environment.
Chocolate processing presents unique challenges. Maintaining the correct temperature is critical to ensure consistent flow, prevent solidification and protect product quality throughout the production process. This system was designed to address those challenges precisely and reliably.
Temperature Control for Product Consistency
The pipework incorporates an outer jacket flooded with hot water, which surrounds the main process pipe carrying the melted chocolate. This jacketed design allows accurate temperature regulation along the full length of the system, keeping the chocolate at an optimal working temperature and ensuring consistent flow from start to finish.
By maintaining stable thermal conditions, the system supports product quality, process efficiency and repeatability, all essential in high-volume food manufacturing.
Designed to Integrate with an Existing Site
This was a fully bespoke solution, engineered to fit within an existing production facility. The design carefully considered available space, routing constraints and connection points, ensuring seamless integration with the client’s current instruments and control systems.
Every element of the pipework was tailored to the site, avoiding unnecessary disruption while delivering a robust, future-proof solution.
